⚡️ Update from Entergy: Update from 7/10/2024 - “Entergy Texas storm crews made significant progress on Tuesday after heavy rain and strong winds from Hurricane Beryl caused widespread outages across the area. As of 7:30 p.m., approximately 189,000 customers are without power, down from a peak of more than 252,000 customers without power on Monday.

We will continue working around the clock and are on track to restore 50% of customers impacted by the end of the day on Wednesday. Estimated restoration dates by location are provided below. While many customers will be restored sooner, these dates describe when we expect to have most customers who can safely accept service to be restored.

Estimated Restoration Date for Conroe 7/14/2024

Conroe-specific information: (Includes Montgomery, Panorama Village, Willis, and surrounding areas)

There are approximately 57,000 customers without power in the Conroe Network. There are currently 125 workers in the area to assist with restoration. The specific challenges to restoration efforts are downed trees and vegetation.

Damage assessments are 40% complete and have found: 28 poles down, 24,300 feet of downed wire, 25 damaged transformers, and 41 broken crossarms.

There is a lot of work ahead. Please be patient while crews work tirelessly to restore all power to Conroe.”

If you have not heard of Swig Drinks, they are a dirty soda shop that started in St. George, Utah, but now has over 50 locations around the US. They are currently working on a location in Magnolia and according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, they should be completed with the build on July 20th.

🎸 If you also love music and free things, then you’ll love what The Conroe Parks and Recreations is hosting tonight at 7 pm: A free concert for the community. There will be food trucks on-site, but you are welcome to bring your food and drinks!

🚲🏕️ Tx4WD is having its July Meeting this Friday at 7 pm at Rudy’s in Conroe. This is open to all skills, and all makes and models of 4X4 vehicles.

🎈 What do hot air balloons and Texas have in common? They both have hot air…Bu dum tss…July 19th at 4 pm - 20th at 9 pm, over at the Lone Star Convention Center, you will find the Balloon Glow & Laser Show that includes many fun activities, including…you guessed it…hot air balloons!
