New CISD Rental Rates 📈

Conroe ISD is increasing its rental rates for district facilities to help recover costs for renting out its campus gyms, cafeterias, and auditoriums. According to Chris McCord, the district’s assistant superintendent for operations, there was a $150,217 revenue loss so far this year. McCord said Conroe ISD has generated about $488,677 in revenue through rentals, but the rentals have cost the district $638,894.

A Little Bit of France 🥐

Paulette Café is located in downtown Conroe and is the dream French café. The owners are originally from France and used to own restaurants in the Lyon, France area. They are “Living the American dream” and their goal is to keep the food and dishes they offer as traditional to their home country as they can. The cafe specializes in crêpes, pastries, soups, salads, quiches, coffees, and French sandwiches like the Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame. They also serve pizzas baked in the traditional French way and offer catering. The food was fresh and delicious when we went, and the atmosphere made it feel like we were in France itself.

There’s a free concert coming 🕺🏻

Nothing is better than free, right? 😉 Over at Citizens Coffee in Conroe on August 24th at 10 am there will be the Free Conroe Citizens Concert with shopping, food, cars, coffee, and amazing local talent from artists like Cat Fyfe, The School of Live Music, and others. Make sure to wear your dancing shoes 👞

We love the weekends because it means it’s market time! 🎪 Conroe Sunday Market is happening this Sunday at 11 am and it’s going to be great! Enjoy a wide selection of locally sourced products, homemade treats, live music, and so much more. Bring your friends, family, and furry friends and enjoy shopping around the local businesses 🛍️
