Are you thinking what we’re thinking? Rent a board and enjoy the day out on Lake Conroe 🏄🏼 - TZ Paddleboard and Kayak Rental offers the opportunity for you and your group to get out on the lake and cool off during the heat while having some fun! They also deliver board rentals to VRBO and houses on the lake for free.

We loved spending our afternoon paddle boarding while exploring Lake Conroe. They also have an easy setup where you simply scan their QR code, fill out a quick form, grab your board and you’re ready to go!

EVENTS

Join B52 Brewing Company in Conroe for their Thursday night trivia at 7pm! They will have food from their on-site Wood Fired Pizza Kitchen and, of course, fresh drinks! Come test your trivia knowledge while relaxing with some good food and drinks!

Singo Bingo. Think Bingo, but better! This makes for the perfect date night, or even just a fun time with friends that will end in laughter! Stop at Beerforest Bar in Woodforest on Thursday at 7pm for drinks, food, and Singo Bingo! You will be given a bingo card with song titles on it. Once the game begins, they will play a short song clip, and you will have to match it to a name on your card. The first person to get 5 in a row and shout "Singo!" is the winner of that round!

Enjoy a beautiful evening at Northshore Park on September 22nd from 5:30 - 7:30 pm for their Concert in The Park. Also, stop by the Parks and Recreation tent and say hello to the staff and have some fun with arts and craft activity, while supplies last.

Arts in the park is happening on September 28 from 3 -8 p.m. It will feature a live theatre performance of Hamlet, children's arts and crafts, face painting, local vendors and entertainers, Renaissance themed youth and adult costume contests and much more!

MOCO ADULT

We thought we would take this week to share some of our favorite activities, coffee stops, and restaurants in the area whether it’s for our next date, or even a spot to meet up with friends! Feel free to let us know which of these are your favorite and if you’ve tried them all!

Activities:

Mini golf and arcades? Yes, please! Shankz in The Woodlands was such a fun experience for us! We were huge fans of the themes and decor around the course. Not to mention, black light mini golf? We were obsessed. Our only wish was that the course would have been longer because it was such a fun spot! We loved that it was indoors though and gave another activity to do during the Texas heat.

Things are about to get real…and tense! It’s a race against the clock and you truly feel immersed when you visit That Escape Place in Conroe. They have 4 different rooms for you to choose from, ranging from an Art Heist to a New York Subway station. This is a great spot for teamwork, but also to let a little bit of that competitiveness come out and prove that you’ve got what it takes to escape on time!

Now it wouldn’t be some real adult time without everyone’s favorite…coffee:

Lattes, mochas, and cappuccinos - oh my! Citizens Coffee in Conroe has everything you could want! We have not had something we didn’t like there yet. Their coffee always hits the spot, and their lemonades are always so refreshing after a day out. Not to mention their pastries and sweet treats are some of our favorites to indulge in when we’re wanting to treat ourselves. Their shop has a fun, open atmosphere that makes you want to sit there for hours.

One stop shop! Urban Grinds Coffee Company in Downtown Conroe has seriously become one of our favorite coffee shops in the area! You will feel welcomed from the second you walk in. We always end up spending hours and hours here because the owners are just the nicest people. They currently have some fall menu available and we are huge fans! Not to mention, they are set up inside The Conroe Collective, a fun local shop that is home to 60+ local vendors so you get to shop and sip for as long as you please.

Okay, now for the star of the show, food:

Fall at Lake Conroe, just how we like it… While there’s nothing crazy to draw you to this spot, Monty’s Lighthouse in Montgomery is one of our favorite spots to go. What’s the secret? Something about when the weather cools down and sitting on lake Conroe in the sunshine while enjoying a good burger and fries…it always hits the spot for us! As soon as the weather turns, you can bet that we will be visiting this spot quite often.

Yum yum yum. If you’re looking for a more unique, upscale option for dinner, you’ve gotta check out Whiskey Cake in The Woodlands. We love their unique flavors and their moody atmosphere. And of course the star of the show, the whiskey cake with homemade whipped cream is incredible! We highly recommend trying this place out for your next date night!

MOCO KIDS

7 Acre Wood is described as an “old-fashion family fun park”. They are open all year round with a wide range of activities to enjoy. With your $8.50 admission, it includes the petting zoo, scooter track, mini golf, giant lego room, zip line, playground and a bunch of other things that are so much fun!
